Reviews system generated pricing guidelines and modifies according to pricing strategies and changing market conditions. Configures and maintains pricing system workflow. Analyzes existing discounts, finds opportunities for improvement, and works with sales to implement corrective actions. Works with Product to set and maintain appropriate product pricing floors (max discounts). Works with Product to establish, set, and load catalog prices into the AS400 for any mid-year increases. Analyzes projected impact of specific catalog price increase plans to enhance our understanding and produce better decisions. Continually identifies pricing best-practices and trains the user community on how to better use the system. Monitors recommendation adoption rates, identifies areas for improvement and works with sales force to improve guidelines and reduce exceptions. Conducts and coordinates financial, market, operational, and related research to support strategic pricing, discounting, and planning for the corporation. Interprets and evaluates research data and determine how to incorporate within the pricing models. Prepares analytical models to evaluate strategic pricing decisions. Works with Sales Management to incorporate best practices as it relates to pricing and achieve gross margin goals. Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor's Degree in business or equivalent is required. Minimum of three years professional experience in at least one of the following disciplines: financial analysis, business strategies or sales required. Proven analytical experience required.
